2018–19 Fantasy Outlook
Gooch's rookie season on the PGA Tour came and went without a top-10 finish, but did include five top-25s as he earned just north of $650,000. He's got plenty of development to do as the 26-year-old was very average in iron play and putting and below average off the tee due to inaccuracy. Don't expect much to change from last season to this one, though there's a decent chance for him to notch his first PGA Tour top-10 at some point in 2018-19. Read Past Outlooks
Slated to return at the PLAYERS
March 11, 2019
Gooch (thumb) is listed in the field for this week's PLAYERS Championship.
ANALYSIS
Gooch withdrew prior to last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational due to a minor thumb injury, but he'll attempt to return from the issue in a timely fashion as he looks to make his TPC Sawgrass debut. Gooch owns four top-20s already this season, but has missed the cut in two of his last three starts.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Gooch appeared to simply be going through the motions throughout a majority of the Web.com season as he placed top-five just once in his first 16 starts, but a runner-up finish at the Price Cutter Charity Championship in August preceded his first career victory at the News Sentinel Open. He earned over $170K during these two weeks alone, boosting him into position to become a rookie on the PGA Tour as he finished sixth on the Web.com's regular season money list. Gooch also made the cut at the 2017 U.S. Open, but a final-round 80 resulted in a second-to-last place finish among those who made the weekend.
