Munoz finished just outside of the top-150 in the FedExCup standings during the 2016-17 season, when he posted a T3 at The Greenbrier but also missed nine cuts in 17 starts. He appeared in 22 events on the Tour in 2018, notching a pair of runner-up finishes and a third-place result to ultimately come in seventh on the regular season money list. Munoz shot a bogey-free five-under 65 on Sunday at the Sony Open to finish in a tie for 10th place.
Munoz picked up his best finish on the PGA Tour since a T3 back at the Greenbrier Classic in 2017. The Columbian was top-11 this week in SG: Off-the-tee, SG: Around-the-green, and SG: Putting. His previous best finish in five starts this season was a T41 at the Shriners Open. Munoz will look to post some more low numbers at the Desert Classic next week.
