Burgess recorded 25 tackles (17 solo) across 12 games (one start) in 2023.
ANALYSIS
A 2020 third-round pick, Burgess made just three starts in three seasons with the Rams and mostly continued in backup role for the Commanders this past year. He did record 10 tackles in his lone start, Week 18, albeit as part of a Washington secondary that allowed the Cowboys to throw for 309 yards and four touchdowns. Burgess is scheduled for unrestricted free agency in the offseason.

Week 17 Friday Injury Report: Lawrence Out, Brissett Questionable, Levis Cleared
90 days ago
Trevor Lawrence finally suffered an injury he can't play through, with the Jaguars officially ruling him out for Week 17.
2020 Fantasy Outlook
A converted receiver, Burgess also played cornerback with Utah before settling in as a starting safety during his senior season last year. The Rams have Taylor Rapp and John Johnson penciled in as starting safeties, so Burgess' easiest path to playing time is in the slot. Burgess should compete with David Long for snaps in nickel packages while also providing safety depth. Speed, anticipation and versatility are Burgess' strengths, and his work ethic and preparation were praised coming out of Utah. It will probably be difficult for him to be a reliable fantasy contributor in 2020, though.
