ANALYSIS
Isabella was active for the Bills' divisional-round loss versus the Chiefs, and now he'll get a chance to compete for a spot on Buffalo's 53-man roster for 2024. Over four games this season (including playoffs), he drew one target, which he failed to haul in, and two kick returns for 44 yards.

Isabella has yet to live up to his billing as a 2019 second-round selection. In fact, he's been only slightly more productive than a sixth-round wide receiver (KeeSean Johnson) from his own draft class through two campaigns (a cumulative 30-413-3 line on 47 targets versus 36-360-1 on 65, respectively). While Larry Fitzgerald is expected to retire this offseason, the Cardinals brought in another veteran to replace him in A.J. Green, giving the WR room a top trio of DeAndre Hopkins, Green and Christian Kirk. The team also drafted Rondale Moore in the second round this year, which leaves Isabella on the outside looking in for snaps.
A second-round pick of the Cardinals last year, Isabella brought 4.31 40 speed to the pro ranks at 5-9, 188, but a rotating cast at the third receiver spot alongside Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald capped his production. In fact, outside of an 88-yard touchdown Week 9 and 55-yard grab Week 10, Isabella recorded just 11 touches for 61 yards and five kick returns for 105 yards. Arizona's 2019 rookie wide receiver class didn't fare much better: fourth-rounder Hakeem Butler spent the season on IR, while sixth-rounder KeeSean Johnson had 42 targets through Week 11 and none thereafter. The path for any of them to receive consistent snaps became more difficult with the acquisition of All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. As a result, Isabella may again be contained to deep routes and gadget plays in 2020.
The 62nd overall pick in this year's draft, Isabella joins a suddenly deep Cardinals receiving corps led by new coach Kliff Kingsbury and rookie QB Kyler Murray. At 5-9, 188, Isabella is short and not especially stout, but he's incredibly quick and has elite long speed - 4.31 40. He had two huge seasons in college, his final one going for 102-1,698-13. The Cardinals return Larry Fitzgerald who will still see his share of targets; Christian Kirk, who had a promising rookie year before breaking his foot; and they drafted Hakeem Butler in the fourth round. Isabella nonetheless figures to have a significant role right away, especially given the dearth of skill at tight end and the fast-paced, pass-happy scheme the team is likely to run.
