Past Fantasy Outlooks
Callahan was able to make the Packers’ 53-man roster in 2016, but was later cut when Mike Pennel came off of suspension. He then made brief stints with the Saints and the Browns, eventually ending up back in Green Bay. It’s obvious that Aaron Rodgers has the starting job locked up for as long as he wants it, so Callahan will continue to be the third-string quarterback behind Brett Hundley. Callahan has impressed last preseason, and if he can bring that kind of performance again, he could be picked up by another organization if Green Bay waives him.
Callahan was signed by the Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent in May and will look to compete for No. 3 spot on the depth chart. In his senior season at Wesley he passed for 5,063 yards and 55 touchdowns becoming only the second quarterback in NCAA history to pass for over 5,000 yards and 55 touchdowns in a single season.
