2019 Fantasy Outlook
Lutz finished seventh or higher in kicker fantasy scoring each of his three NFL seasons, with impressive accuracy and a wealth of PAT opportunities making up for Drew Brees' consistent success turning red-zone possessions into touchdowns. The young kicker is unlikely to challenge for the league lead in field goals as long as Brees is still playing, but there's a lot to be said for the security of this setup. Read Past Outlooks

Perfect in win

October 13, 2019
Lutz made both of his field goal attempts and his lone extra-point attempt in the Saints' 13-6 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
His field goal makes came from 21 and 47 yards out, and he provided crucial offense in a close, low-scoring game. Lutz remains one of the better kicker options in fantasy thanks to a productive Saints offense that gives him plenty of opportunities.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
Lutz was tied for fifth among kickers in fantasy scoring in 2016 and found his way into the top 10 (seventh) again in 2017. His conversion rates suggest he's only a league-average kicker or perhaps a bit better, but that's more than enough to get the job done when playing for a dome team that has Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas lining up behind a solid offensive line. There's minimal risk involved.
Lutz had a successful rookie season last year, finishing with the fifth most points thanks in part to his 98.0 percent accuracy on 50 PAT attempts -- he was one of only two kickers with that many. Those tries helped make up for his 34 field-goal attempts, which tied for 11th, while his accuracy was only 23rd. Part of his accuracy issues were from deep, as four of his six misses came from at least 50 yards. Given the Saints' offensive upside, Lutz likely will get enough attempts to make him a strong fantasy option, particularly when he's playing at home.
