THE SLATE

Zalgiris Kaunas at Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade

Key Injuries: Patricio Garino (ZAL)

Best Bets for Success: After two Rounds it's clear Marius Grigonis and Jordan Loyd are the best players on their respective teams. As guards they handle the ball plenty, and neither is afraid to let the jumpers fly both inside and from beyond the three-point arc. Loyd -- the Round 2 MVP -- saw his price on DraftKings jump significantly this week, but after scoring 30 points on the court and 49 points in last week's contests it's a deserved increase.

DFS Darlings: Joffrey Lauvergne played well in his first EuroLeague game with Zalgiris before missing last week's contest following a positive COVID-19 test. He will be back in action Tuesday and should play his regular role after missing only a few days. He's a good bet to return value on DraftKings if he grabs a few more rebounds. Langston Hall has played well alongside Loyd, and although his price increased as well, he has already reached double digits in two different categories, having scored 12 points in Round 1 and dishing out 11 assists last week.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul at ALBA Berlin

Key Injuries: Shane Larkin (IST)

Best Bets for Success: With Larkin out until late October, Vasilije Micic and Krunoslav Simon will remain Efes' go-to scorers for another few Rounds. Both their prices jumped quite a bit on DraftKings -- that's surprising for Micic given his dud in Round 2 -- so while they should be safe options they will both need to stuff the box score to provide significant value. ALBA is a tricky team to figure out, but Luke Sikma -- despite a slow start -- is still one of the best bets among anyone to pick up a double-double, having recorded five of them last season.

DFS Darlings: ALBA does have a couple interesting value plays in Simone Fontecchio and Ben Lammers, who both check in under $7,000 on DraftKings. Both players started in Round 2 after coming off the bench in the opener, and although neither was quite as productive in that role, that's a sign their spots in the rotation are secure. Bryant Dunston has not done much thus far, but he has some nice upside at $7,000, having averaged 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks before an extended injury-related absence last season.

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens at LDLC ASVEL

Key Injuries: Pierre Jackson (PAN), Lefteris Bochoridis (PAN), Norris Cole (ASV)

Best Bets for Success: It appeared heading into the season that Ioannis Papapetrou would be Panathinaikos' top player, and he has indeed been just that, leading the team in scoring and spending all but nine minutes on the court thus far. It was not as evident that Moustapha Fall would be ASVEL's best player, but through two Rounds he has done his best impression of Tonye Jekiri, who was the French club's most productive player last season.

DFS Darlings: Marcus Foster will not come as cheap on DraftKings as he did previously, but he still checks in at just $6,500, and with Panathinaikos still down a couple guards he should once again play a key role. Assuming Cole sits out, ASVEL will need a player or two to pick up the pace in the scoring department. Those duties could fall on David Lighty, who is off to a slow start but was his team's most consistent scorer a season ago, and Paul Lacombe, who scored 21 points in ASVEL's last domestic-league game.

FC Barcelona at Valencia Basket

Key Injuries: Kyle Kuric (BAR), Joan Sastre (PAM)

Best Bets for Success: While Nikola Mirotic has not scored 20 points in a game just yet, he is contributing in plenty other areas, and it's just a matter of time before he puts up a big number in the scoring column. Bojan Dubljevic bounced back from a quiet Round 1 in a big way, scoring 24 points in just 18 minutes last week. Valencia's roster is deeper than it was last season, but Dubljevic remains the club's best player and is capable of anchoring your DraftKings lineups at under $10,000.

DFS Darlings: Klemen Prepelic will cost you a bit more on DraftKings than he did before, but he still checks in at just $5,200, and he has the scoring skills to easily return value if he puts the ball in the cup a few more times. Brandon Davies put up big numbers with Zalgiris two seasons ago, and although his role has been limited a bit since he joined Barcelona, he's still capable of scoring the ball. That should come in handy in what could be a fairly high-scoring matchup in Spain.

Zenit Saint Petersburg at TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz

Per an official announcement from the EuroLeague, "The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 3...game between TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz vs. Zenit St Petersburg...that was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, October 13...will not take place. Multiple players of Zenit St Petersburg have tested positive for COVID-19, with the team not having at least eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play."
