Hobart Hurricanes are ready to face Brisbane Heat in the match 44 of the Big Bash League (BBL) in Hobart on Tuesday. The home side will enter the contest as firm favourites as they are placed on top of the table with 16 points, having played two games less than second-placed Melbourne Renegades. In the previous meeting between both teams earlier in the competition, it was the Hurricanes who came out on top with 15-run margin.
In their previous match, Hurricanes suffered a surprising nine-wicket defeat against Sydney Sixers in Sydney. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Mathew Wade, opener D'Arcy Short and veteran middle-order batsman George Bailey to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes in-form James Faulkner, Jofra Archer and veteran off-spinner Johan Botha.
On the other hand, Heat will come in the match relatively relaxed as they are only playing for pride after their fate was sealed following six defeats in 10 outings. In their previous match, Chris Lynn-led unit suffered a five-run defeat against Melbourne Stars in Melbourne on Sunday. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Lynn and Brendon McCullum to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Ben Cutting to provide timely breakthroughs.
