Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades are ready to face off in the match 32 in the Big Bash League (BBL) in Sydney on Wednesday. The game is an important one for both sides as four teams are currently tied with eight points after playing eight games each. Therefore, a win would take either team to a better position in the league table. In the last five meetings between both teams, Sixers have a much better record as they managed to won on four occasions, whereas Renegades registered just one victory.
In their previous match, Sixers suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Perth Scorchers in Perth on Sunday. In the batting department, the home team will be relying on Jordan Silk and Daniel Hughes to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Steve O'Keefe, Tom Curran and Sean Abbott to provide timely breakthroughs.
On the other hand, Renegades will enter the contest knowing they will have to put up a much better show than they did in their previous match against Brisbane Heat, where they suffered a humiliating 101-run defeat. In the batting department, the visitors will be depending on the likes of Sam Harper and Daniel Christian to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Kane Richardson and Cameron Boyce to provide timely breakthroughs.
