Third Test Preview: South Africa vs. Pakistan
South Africa and Pakistan are ready to face off in the third Test of the three-match series, which will begin in Johannesburg on Friday. The home side have already clinched the series after winning first two matches of the series by six and nine wickets respectively. Therefore, Proteas will enter the third Test with full of confidence and will be looking to complete a series sweep. However, they will have to do it without regular captain Faf du Plessis, who is facing one-game suspension for slow over-rate.
In his absence, the team will be relying on stand-in captain Dean Elgar, veteran right-hander Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock to score bulk of the runs. Opener Aiden Markram's participation is also uncertain as he is struggling to regain fitness following thigh injury.
