Third T20I Preview: India vs. Australia

Australia and India are ready to clash in the third and final T20 international of the three match series in Sydney on Sunday. The home side will go into the contest with a 1-0 lead after winning the series opener by four runs, whereas the second T20I was washed out.

In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Glenn Maxwell and captain Aaron Finch to score bulk of the run, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on pacers to deliver the knockout punch. The role of Marcus Stoinis will be an important one for the team as he is not only the finisher in the batting department, but also bowls at the depth and is turning out to be a valuable prospect for the Baggy Greens.

On the other hand, the Men in Blue will go in to the contest in desperate state as this is their last chance to avoid a series defeat. In the batting department, the onus will be on the experienced trio of captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma and veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the team management will be expecting big things from the spin duo.

The venue for the match is Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), which will be hosting its fifth T20 international. Highest team score in previous four contests was 221-5, which was registered by Australia in 2007 against England, whereas the highest individual

Key Players:

Rohit Sharma – 10.5 Cr

First in the list of key players features India's vice-captain Rohit Sharma. The 31-year-old is a real star in white-ball cricket and has the ability to turn the game upside down in the matter of few overs. Therefore, Sharma, who is valued at 10.5 Cr, is the player to have in your team as he can not only score quick runs, but is also capable of scoring big runs. Sharma has represented India in 89 T20Is, where he has scored 2,214 runs at an average of 33.04 with the strike-rate of 138.11, which included four centuries and 15 half-centuries. Sharma has played just one T20I in Sydney, where he scored 52 runs at a strike-rate of 136.84.

Kuldeep Yadav – 9 Cr

Second in the list features India's Kuldeep Yadav. The left-arm wrist-spinner is having an excellent series so far as has taken three wickets in two matches. It is clear that the Australian batsmen are not picking Yadav's wrong'un and are playing him with caution. Valued at 9 Cr, Yadav might prove to be an ideal acquisition as he will be even more useful in conditions at the SCG where the pitch traditionally favours spinners. Till now, Yadav has represented India in 16 T20Is, where he has taken 32 wickets at an outstanding average of 12.78.

Adam Zampa – 8.5 Cr

Last in the list features Australia's Adam Zampa. The leg-spinner had an outstanding time in the series opener but didn't get to bowl in the second match. Valued at 8.5 Cr, Zampa proved with his performance at Gabba that he is worthy of a place in any team as he showed great control and game awareness against a side who play spin really well. Zampa has represented the Baggy Greens in 19 T20Is, taking 21 wickets.
