Velasquez announced Aug. 17 via his personal Twitter account that he entered the NCAA's transfer portal with the intention of leaving Fresno State.

ANALYSIS
Since the quarterback entered the portal prior to the start of Fresno State's season, he should be eligible immediately at his next school in 2021. A redshirt sophomore, Velasquez began his career at FCS Portland State before moving on to Fresno State, where he never played a snap.
