2013 Fantasy Outlook
The Miners return five starters from a defense that ranked 78th in the nation in points allowed last season. The losses of senior defensive backs Drew Thomas and DeShawn Grayson will be tough to overcome, but the team received a big break when safety Richard Spencer was granted a sixth year of NCAA eligibility after suffering a season-ending injury early in 2012. The defensive line is where the Miners possess the most returning talent. Ends Horace Miller and James Davidson combined for 67 tackles and 12.5 sacks in 2012 but with just one lineman over 280 pounds, the group may struggle to stop the run again in 2013.

UCLA plans to make Lewis a bigger part of the offense this season, the L.A. Daily News reports. "Marcedes is a great target, and we're very fortunate to have him," UCLA quarterback Ben Olson said. "And I think you have to take advantage of the things he brings to the table, and I think that's what the coaches do. I think a lot of our offense now is starting to run through him. Sometimes he is our first look in our progressions."
