Going to next level
January 10, 2022
McBride announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Colorado State to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
McBride's move to the professional ranks was fully expected coming out of a redshirt junior season in which he tallied 90 receptions for 1,121 yards and two touchdowns en route to winning the John Mackey Award. He'll likely be one of the top tight ends off the board in April's draft.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
McBride trailed only Florida’s Kyle Pitts in fantasy points per game among tight ends last season at 14.3. It was a shortened sample with just four games, but McBride’s per-game numbers -- 8.5 targets, 5.5 receptions, 82.5 yards-- were in line with or better than his breakout 2019 in which he caught 45 of 54 targets for 560 yards and four touchdowns. McBride is locked into a high target role for the Rams alongside Dante Wright, and as long as the quarterback play around him is competent, the senior will be among the most productive tight ends in college football.
