Calls end to college career
Fells announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Navy to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
The slotback was a redshirt junior this past fall and would have had two more years of eligibility remaining heading into 2021, but he'll instead get an early start on his professional career. Before suffering a head injury in Navy's Dec. 5 loss to Tulsa that resulted in him sitting out the Midshipmen's loss to Army a week later, Fells accrued 161 yards on 25 carries to go with three receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown. He's unlikely to hear his name called on draft day and is more realistically looking to land a deal with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent.
