Back in FBS with Vandy
February 14, 2020
Moussa joined Vanderbilt's 2020 signing class as a transfer from JUCO program San Bernardino Valley College in California.
Coming out of high school in 2018, Moussa signed with Hawaii and appeared in two games as a true freshman, completing four of nine pass attempts for 77 yards and a touchdown. He left the Warriors during fall camp last season when it became apparent he was behind Cole McDonald and Chevan Cordeiro on the depth chart, ultimately landing with the JUCO program. Moussa led San Bernardino to a 9-2 record while averaging 353.2 passing yards per game and tossing 37 touchdowns, production that attracted the interest of Vanderbilt. With incumbent Riley Neal having exhausted his eligibility and three other quarterbacks transferring out of the program during the offseason, Moussa should have a real chance to emerge as Vandy's Week 1 starter in his junior season. Incoming freshmen Ken Seals and MIchael Wright and walk-on Jack Bowen are the only signal-callers currently on the Vanderbilt roster.
