Makes switch to defense
CBLouisiana-Lafayette
August 9, 2018
Jacquet was moved from wide receiver to cornerback during spring camp and is projected to serve as a starter in Louisiana-Lafayette's defensive backfield during his junior campaign, Tim Buckley of the Lafayette Daily Advertiser reports.
ANALYSIS
Jacquet filled a key complementary role in the Ragin' Cajuns' passing attack over his first two seasons with the program, finishing his sophomore year with 31 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns. The coaching staff evidently felt Jacquet would offer more assistance on the defensive side, and it apparently hasn't taken him long to get acclimated at cornerback. He'll likely fill a starting role in the base defense opposite graduate transfer Kendall Johnson.
