Croney Jr. has been listed above the other four running backs battling for the starting job on the Week 3 depth chart for the Cyclones, Tommy Birch of The Des Moines Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Based on Week 1 results, it seemed as though Croney Jr. was splitting the bulk of the carries with Johnnie Lang and Breece Hall. Croney received the majority of the carries in overtime while Lang was the starter and got his carries in throughout regular time. Breece Hall is the team's freshman phenom and will earn his carries in each game. It's unclear if Croney will jog out onto the field with the offense for their first possession on Saturday or if he will be inserted in certain parts of the game. But do expect those three running backs to handle the majority of the team's carries once again.
