Brycen Hopkins

Year 1 of the Jeff Brohm era netted a bowl berth for the first time since 2012, and the Boilermakers' tight end usage helped key an improved passing game. Hopkins played a big role, catching 25 of 48 targets for 349 yards and three TDs. Purdue also has Cole Herdman at tight end, so Hopkins can't hog all the targets there, but tight ends have enough of a role for both to consistently produce. Hopkins might not drastically improve on last year's numbers is unclear, but what he was able to do in 2017 made him a quality starting option at the position.
