Declares for NFL draft
January 6, 2019
Jackson will not transfer from Buffalo but will instead forgo his senior season to enter the 2019 NFL draft, Chris Vannini of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson still has a year of eligibility, but amidst reports suggesting he wanted to play another collegiate season with another school, he will instead turn pro. His numbers from this past season certainly opened eyes, both in the air (3131 yards, 28 touchdowns, 12 interceptions) and on the ground (161 yards, seven touchdowns). He has an outstanding arm and good mobility, though some scouts question his accuracy and mechanics.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Jackson (6-7, 245) is a hulking quarterback that seemed to figure things out down the stretch. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 1,363 yards, nine touchdowns, and two picks over his last four games, during which Buffalo went 3-1. A big reason behind that surge was his chemistry with Anthony Johnson, who blossomed into the MAC's best receiver. Jackson has the look of a breakout candidate, and even if he's not able to sustain that torrid pace he was on to end the year, he'll still be a top fantasy quarterback thanks to his skills and supporting cast.
