Taylor Cornelius

QuarterbackQB
Serviceable in spot start
QBEdmonton
October 16, 2021
Cornelius completed 17 of 29 passes for 187 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Elks' 26-16 loss to the Blue Bombers on Friday night. He also rushed four times for 19 yards.
ANALYSIS
Cornelius received the start in place of Trevor Harris, who was declared inactive for the contest, and he delivered a competent albeit unspectacular performance. Cornelius connected with nine different pass catchers overall and hit Shai Ross for his one touchdown, an 11-yard scoring toss. It remains to be seen if Cornelius' overall body of work is enough to earn him a second straight start in a Week 13 home matchup against the Tiger-Cats following a Week 12 bye.
