Nathan Ekwu

Fully cleared for basketball activities
FDavidson
September 24, 2018
Davidson head coach Bob McKillop said Monday that Ekwu (knee) has been cleared to resume all basketball activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Ekwu missed the entire 2017-18 season due to a knee injury, preventing him from claiming what likely would have been a regular spot in the Davidson rotation. After being granted a medical redshirt from the NCAA, Ekwu looks like he'll be ready to go for the start of his senior campaign. Though the 6-foot-7 forward hasn't averaged more than six points per game during any of his three prior seasons in college, the opportunity could exist for Ekwu to take on a greater role offensively following the graduation of scoring leader Peyton Aldridge, who topped 20 points per game both of the past two seasons.
