Joins Georgia Southern as grad transfer
Weatherford committed to Georgia Southern on May 22, joining the program as a graduate transfer from IUPUI, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Weatherford is on the move to the third Division I school of his career after taking a redshirt at Purdue in 2016-17 before moving to IUPUI for the following three years. After sitting out the 2017-18 campaign to comply with NCAA transfer rules, Weatherford appeared in 65 games (57 starts) for the Jaguars the past two seasons, averaging 7.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.2 minutes per contest. He'll be able to compete right away for the Eagles in what will be his final year of eligibility.
