Robinson scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-4 FT) with two rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes off the bench in Sunday's win over Liberty to advance to the Sweet 16.
Virginia Tech has been graced with the return of Robinson to begin the NCAA Tournament after he missed 12 games with a left foot injury. He's yet to be placed back in the starting lineup, but he's had outings of 28 and 29 minutes off the bench in the first weekend, so he seems to be a lock to see heavy minutes off the bench if he doesn't return to the starting five. Prior to being injured, the senior was averaging 14.3 points per game, so the 11.0 he's been averaging in the tournament could still see improvement. Virginia Tech plays conference foe Duke in the Sweet 16, who they beat 77-72 at home in late February while Robinson was sitting out.
