Shayok recorded 14 points (5-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 38 minutes in Saturday's 78-66 victory over Kansas.
Shayok missed a game March 6 due to an ankle injury, but that seems to be hardly affecting him since returning. Through four games, the senior has averaged 17.8 points on 46.9 percent shooting. The Cyclones looked defeated after losing five of their last six games in the regular season, but turned things around quickly to secure multiple upsets en route to the Big 12 tournament championship. Shayok and company will look to carry that momentum into the NCAA Tournament's opening round.
