Bobby Pettiford

Gets clean bill of health
August 24, 2021
Kansas head coach Bill Self said Monday that Pettiford (foot) has been cleared for full practice, Gary Bedore of The Kansas City Star reports.
Pettiford, an incoming freshman guard, was limited in summer workouts after he tore three ligaments and suffered a severe bone bruse in his left foot while playing in a pickup game in May. He avoided surgery to address the injury, and after a few months of recovery time, he looks like he'll head into his first semester of college with no restrictions. The Jayhawks likely aren't counting on Pettiford to handle a major role in the rotation in his first season.
