Williams announced Tuesday that he has opted to transfer to Oklahoma State, Jeff Goodman of reports.
After a productive run in the JUCO ranks, Williams joined Mississippi for the 2019-20 season but struggled to find much of a role in the Rebels' rotation. He appeared in 29 games for Ole Miss, averaging 3.1 points in 12.7 minutes per contest. Though Oklahoma State is facing a postseason ban for 2020-21, Williams has elected to join the Cowboys, likely to his relationship with assistant coach Erik Pastrana from their time together at Daytona State College. Williams is expected to apply for a waiver that would make him eligible to compete immediately as a senior during the upcoming season.
