Strickland announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Long Island University as a graduate transfer from Georgia Southern.

Long Island will mark the fourth collegiate stop for Strickland, who began his career at Wisconsin in 2018-19 and spent two years with the program before a two-year stint at Temple and a one-year stint with Georgia Southern. Because he took a redshirt in 2019-20 and gets a free year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Strickland will be able to compete for a sixth season of college basketball in 2023-24. He started in 21 of his 30 appearances for Georgia Southern this past season, averaging 7.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.7 assists in 21.2 minutes per contest.
