Still expects to play Tuesday
GMissouri
February 18, 2019
Smith is expected to play Tuesday against Kentucky despite the fact he is experiencing soreness in his previously injured ankle, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
ANALYSIS
Smith returned to action Saturday against Mississippi, but he only managed to log 14 minutes of action -- a far cry from the 28.8 minutes per game he's averaging this season. The sophomore is still undergoing treatment on his ankle, though the team doesn't expect that to keep him out of Tuesday's tilt. That said, the fact that the area is still sore could mean Smith will still be a bit limited in terms of minutes, which certainly hurts his fantasy value against a strong opponent like Kentucky.
