McGriff put up 19 points (8-19 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one block, and a steal before fouling out in a loss to Kansas on Saturday.
McGriff was almost able to will a shorthanded Cowboys team to an upset victory. His 19 shot attempts and nine three-point attempts were both career highs for the junior. McGriff's strong play on Saturday is more than welcomed for a player that has struggled as much as any player in the conference as of late. In his prior four games, McGriff was just 5-for-32 from the field despite playing nearly 36.3 MPG. He will try to get back to some of his play earlier in the season on Wednesday when Oklahoma State heads to Waco to take on Baylor.
