Kegler appears to have firm control of the starting power forward position for Baylor.
Kegler was suspended for the first six games of the season for undisclosed reasons, but has started and played 31 and 34 minutes respectively in each of the two games he has been active for. In those contests, Kegler averaged 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He redshirted last season after playing his freshman campaign at Mississippi State, where he started all but one game and put up 9.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in 28.2 rebounds per game. Kegler is in position to better those numbers this season on a very young Baylor squad. Kegler and the Bears will face Arizona on Saturday next.
