DFS College Basketball: Wednesday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Wednesday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

Four top-25 teams are in action for the Wednesday College Basketball slate in which several games include high spreads. DraftKings features its $10 Big Jam Contest with $2,500 to first and FanDuel highlights the $7 All-American with a $500 top prize. Both sites start at 7 p.m. EST.

Top Players

Bennedict Mathurin, G, Arizona ($7,600 DK)

Mathurin has been outstanding this season, enjoying a breakthrough second year with Arizona in which he's won Pac-12 Player of the Week in consecutive weeks. He's put up 40+ fantasy points in three-straight games, and even with this contest against Northern Colorado unlikely to be close, he's been able to log 30+ minutes in the team's recent pair of 25+ point victories. Should be a good spot for him to get his third double-double of the season.

Jason Carter, F, Ohio ($7,600 DK)

You won't find many players in college basketball more experienced than Carter, who is playing in his sixth collegiate season. He's reached double figures in all but one game this season and does a great job contributing across the stat-sheet, leading the team in rebounds while also averaging 3.1 steals and blocks combined per game. This is a great matchup against a Marshall squad that is allowing 77.3 points per game to opponents.

Middle Tier

Daylen Kountz, G, Northern Colorado ($6,900 DK)

Kountz has been the clear go-to option for Northern Colorado this season, as his 29.6 shot percentage when he's on the court ranks seventh among players on tonight's slate. Although this is a tougher matchup against Arizona, Kountz averaged 16.5 points in games against Texas and undefeated Colorado St. This should be a good game to target if you're looking for a game to stack, with it having the highest/over under on tonight's slate.

Damian Dunn, G, Temple ($6,800 DK, $6,300 FD)

With Khalif Battle and his 21.4 ppg out for the season with a foot injury, Dunn has stepped up and is averaging 19.0 points and 6.7 rebounds over the last three games in his place as Temple's new main option. His fantasy points per minute numbers have increased from .78 with Battle in the lineup to .97 without. Dunn should have a safe floor with his ability to produce points on the defensive end as well.

Values

Skyelar Potter, G, Morehead St. ($5,000 DK, $7,600 FD)

Potter's $2,600 discount on DraftKings compared to FanDuel will likely make him highly rostered on DK tonight and essentially unfadeable in cash games. He's been a reliable option over the last two seasons for the Eagles as a sharpshooter that's connected on 38 percent of his threes both seasons while also contributing a pair of double-doubles already. Xavier also likes to push the pace so this could turn into a higher scoring game than Morehead State is used to.

Chris Vogt, F, Wisconsin ($3,700 DK)

Vogt's role has been expanding for the Badgers, as the 7-footer has averaged 19 minutes to start Big Ten play after playing sparingly to start the season. With this game unlikely to be close, Vogt should see plenty of minutes and will be able to take advantage of his size with Nicholls State only having one rotation player over 6-7. Steven Crowl ($5,100 DK) is another solid matchup option for Wisconsin but at a higher salary.
