DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

Every slate with the Hawkeyes starts and ends with Luka Garza ($10,00 DK), and Sunday is no different. If you want the Wooden Award frontrunner in your lineups, finding value is a must, so we'll begin today's column with three sub-$5.5k options.

Targets

1. D.J. Burns, F, Winthrop ($4,200 DK)

The sophomore is the usage leader on the team with the day's highest implied total, but it's the minutes that are a question. With a ceiling in the 30s and a floor that has seen him reach double-digit fantasy points in his last six games, Burns is worth rolling the dice on at this price.

2. Chase Audige, G, Northwestern ($5,100 DK)

Audige has seen his price plummet after averaging 15.5 DK points over his last three contests, but it's easy to forget the sophomore averaged 33.0 DK points in the four games prior. The Nebraska defense is surprisingly solid with the 33rd-most efficient mark in the country (per KenPom), but this is a program not at full strength following the departure of Teddy Allen, and it plays at a pace conducive to big fantasy days. Iowa put up 102 points on the Huskers on Thursday.

3. Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee ($5,500 DK)

Johnson has started the last 12 games for the Vols and is their usage leader over the past 10 contests. He eclipsed 30 fantasy points last Saturday against Auburn and has a ceiling in the 40s. making him an option

Fades

1.Nate Reuvers, F, ($3,800 DK)

He's been a target in this column in the past and will definitely catch the eye of fantasy players with that team-high usage rate. The problem is that he's been significantly out-played lately by Micah Potter ($6,500 DK) off the bench, and he doesn't have a great history against Iowa, posting 9.3 fantasy points in their last matchup. In his six-game streak of starts, he's averaged 12.2 DK points/game, without surpassing 20 in any contest.

2. DeAndre Williams, F, Memphis ($8,200 DK)

The highest-priced Memphis player is fresh off back-to-back double-doubles and nearly went off for a triple-double last Sunday after I mentioned him in this spot, but a matchup against Houston is simply something no fantasy players should want a piece of at this price. The Cougars recently shut down NBA talent Charles Bassey in the frontcourt, and it's easy to see why, with KenPom's fifth most efficient defense in the nation and an adjusted tempo outside the top-300.

3. Emanuel Littles, F, North Alabama ($7,900 DK)

Littles has the highest price tag on the team with the lowest implied total of the day, and there's recent history to go by. In a pair of games against Liberty on Feb. 22 and 23, Littles scored 18.0 and 20.5 DK points, respectively. His usage rate is only No. 3 on the team, and this doesn't look like the spot to pay up even if he were taking all the shots.
