DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

We have a seven-game slate on DraftKings for Sunday afternoon, kicking off with Wisconsin vs. Michigan at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Targets

1.Sandro Mamukelashvili, F, Seton Hall ($8,500 DK)

The Seton Hall forward is tied for the fourth-highest priced player on the slate yet has the potential to be the top overall scorer in a matchup against Marquette. Despite going just 6-for-16 from the field against the Golden Eagles earlier this season, Mamukelashvili still put up 38.7 DK points. He has the ability to stretch the floor on Marquette's bigs, and the Pirates also happen to have the highest implied total among the seven games featured Sunday, making the 6-11 senior my favorite pay-up option.

2. Darnell Brodie, F, Drake ($4,900 DK)

His upside has been limited by foul trouble over the last two games, but Brodie still sports the second-highest usage rate among Drake starters and has a ceiling in the 40s. When he was on the court in Saturday's matchup against Loyola-Chicago, Brodie went 5-for-7 from the field. The Bulldogs are also missing ShanQuan Hemphill and the 6.3 rpg he provides, so there's room for a big rebounding day if Brodie can stay on the court.

3. Nate Reuvers, F, Wisconsin ($4,800 DK)

Reuvers returned to the starting lineup this week against Nebraska, taking the place of center Micah Potter. He ended up with 19.0 DK points in his highest minutes total since Jan. 7, and the Badgers again need him to be the X-factor with Michigan coming to town. Wisconsin was routed by the Wolverines earlier in the year, but this will be Michigan's first game back in nearly a month, and the spread this time around is just about even money. While the minutes have been light, a 25.2 percent usage rate over his last ten games shows Reuvers can be a game-changer for DFS lineups as long as he stays effective enough to remain on the court.

Fades

1.Roman Penn, G, Drake ($7,300 DK)

Penn has been on a skid with 18.8 and 14.2 DK points in his last two games. In the first of a two-game set that started on Saturday, the junior was just 2-for-13 from the field in his worst performance of MVC play. At $7,300, Penn wouldn't have hit 4x in any of his last seven games.

2. Isaiah Wong, G, Miami ($8,200 DK)

Wong had just 24.3 DK points five games ago against Notre Dame, and this time around, there's speculation that Chris Lykes could make a long-awaited return from an ankle injury. While he likely wouldn't see a ton of volume, the shots he does take would come at the expense of Wong and Harlond Beverly. The Hurricanes have the second-lowest implied total on the slate, so it's not the time to invest in their high-priced options. If anything, Kameron McGusty at $6,000 is worth a look, hitting 4x at that price in four of his last five games, including a 20-point effort against Notre Dame the first time around.

3. Liam Robbins, F, Minnesota ($8,000 DK)

Foul trouble limited Robbins to his second-lowest total of Big Ten play earlier this year against the Terrapins, and he enters the rematch without a clean bill of health after tweaking his ankle this week against Purdue. Robbins has a great ceiling, but after fouling out in three of his last five games, I'm not willing to take the risk for a player who is at less than 100 percent.
