DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Guards

Russell Westbrook, OKC at ATL ($11,600): Using the opposing team's best player against Atlanta is always a sparkling idea, especially when it's someone like Westbrook. The Hawks sit dead-last in points allowed and first in pace. That doesn't even consider the fact that they allow the most fantasy points in the league to opposing point guards. Plus, Westbrook has scored at least 50 DK points in 15 of his last 16 games, despite continued struggles from beyond the arc. Blowout potential isn't the biggest concern, either, as Westbrook dropped 51.3 DK points in just 30 minutes of action the one time he faced Atlanta.

Lonzo Ball, LAL vs. CHI ($6,700): Over his last 10 games, Ball is averaging more than 33 fantasy points per game, even with a 13-point dud in that stretch. It's the fact that Rajon Rondo is out that's kept him valuable, as he's playing 35 minutes a game while attempting 12 shots a game in that span. That expanded role should allow him to exploit a Chicago defense that ranks dead-last in defensive efficiency.

Brandon Ingram, LAL vs. CHI ($6,600): Ingram has become the primary ball-handler with LeBron James (groin) sidelined, as he's posting a 26 percent usage rate in his absence. He's playing 36 minutes a game while averaging 16 shots in his last 10 games. And not only has he scored at least 27 DK points in nine of his last 13 games, but Ingram is also averaging close to 35 fantasy points per game in his last 11 outings.

Forwards

Jimmy Butler, PHI vs. MIN ($7,600): Revenge game narratives are always dangerous but it's hard to overlook what's been one of the biggest stories in the NBA this season. Butler made headlines by causing mayhem in his time with Minnesota, as he'll surely want to exploit his old team Tuesday night. His recent form indicates he can do just that, as he has at least 28 DK points in nine of his last 10 games, and he's averaging close to 40 fantasy points per game in that span.

Kyle Kuzma, LAL vs. CHI ($7,300): Kuzma is the final piece to our Lakers puzzle, as he's leading the team with a 31.3 percent usage rate with James and Rondo off the floor. That usage looks even better when you consider his role, with Kuzma averaging 21 shots and nearly 40 minutes across his last seven healthy games. Those are the usage numbers of a player approaching $9,000, and he's averaging close to 40 DK points per game in that span as well.

Thaddeus Young, IND vs. PHX ($5,800): Young is averaging 35 DK points across his last 18 outings, nds he's scored at least 21 fantasy points in all 16 of those games. That's an amazing floor for someone priced below $6,000, as he should exploit a Suns defense who ranks 28th in defensive efficiency. In addition, Phoenix allows the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards, and Young scored 25 DK points in 28 minutes the one time he faced the Suns this season. If Myles Turner remains out, Young becomes even more valuable.

Centers:

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at PHI ($10,200): Towns is hard to fade right now, as he's been a different player since Tom Thibodeau and Jimmy Butler left town. Over his last 10 games, Towns is averaging 27.5 points, 16.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.8 blocks per game. That's close to 70 fantasy points per game -- that sort of production is unmatched by any player on this slate. That makes this price even more shocking, as he should be closer to $12,000.

Brook Lopez, MIL vs. MIA ($4,700): Lopez is way too cheap for the production he's been providing, as he's one of the best value bets on the board. Lopez is averaging close to 30 fantasy points per game across his last 23 outings, and he got to 26 DraftKings points last time he faced the Heat, despite struggling from the field on the second night of a back-to-back.
