FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's post-Christmas NBA slate is stocked with exciting action, as 10 games are on tap after 7:00 PM Eastern time. Read on to see which players stand out from the pack as the best values from all across the price spectrum. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Derrick Rose, MIN at CHI ($7,300): Look for a big game from Rose against the team with which he rose to prominence. Rose practiced Monday and looks to be over the ankle injury that kept him out of Minnesota's last contest, putting him in position to start this one with Jeff Teague still on the shelf with an ankle injury of his own. That starting job should lead to production against the 9-25 Bulls.

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN vs. CHA ($6,900): Dinwiddie has turned into a consistent source of instant offense, pouring in 23.8 PPG over the past eight games. He's rounded out his production with 5.9 APG over that stretch as well, so Dinwiddie's more than just a scorer. Don't be surprised to see Dinwiddie come close to matching opposing point guard Kemba Walker's production at a fraction of the cost.

SHOOTING GUARD

Victor Oladipo, IND at ATL ($8,500): Oladipo has tremendous upside -- he's topped 50.0 fantasy points twice in the past five games. He won't get many better opportunities to play up to his high potential than this matchup with a Hawks team that allows 117.9 points per game -- just 0.1 behind Washington's league-worst mark.

Lou Williams, LAC vs. SAC ($5,400): Williams has been locked in of late, scoring 25-plus points in two of the past three games while averaging 8.0 APG over that stretch. Given how much he has the ball in his hands, Williams should have no trouble racking up plenty of points and assists against a Kings team that's allowing 116.4 points per game.

SMALL FORWARD

Trevor Ariza, WAS at DET ($6,000): Ariza has hit the ground running since getting traded by the Suns, recording at least 35.7 fantasy points in three of his first four games with the Wizards. He should continue to see extended minutes with fellow small forward Otto Porter sidelined by a knee injury, and Ariza should take advantage against a Pistons team whose weakness is on the wing.

Justise Winslow, MIA vs. TOR ($5,500): Winslow's an inconsistent player whose production tends to come in streaks. When he topped 40.0 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 7, he followed that performance up with two more consecutive efforts over 40.0. Coming off a 46.7 fantasy point performance in Orlando, Winslow could be at the beginning of another hot streak. If that's indeed the case, he should easily outplay his $5,500 valuation regardless of opponent.

POWER FORWARD

Blake Griffin, DET vs. WAS ($9,100): Griffin's the focal point of Detroit's offense, and he's an excellent source of both points (25.3 PPG) and rebounds (8.9 RPG). He won't come cheap, but Griffin should be worth paying up for against this vulnerable opposition. Not only does Washington allow a league-high 118.0 points per game, but the Wizards also give up the most rebounds per game at 57.5.

Jaren Jackson, MEM vs. CLE ($6,600): Jackson is turning into a consistent contributor, scoring at least 32.2 fantasy points in each of the past three games and four of the past five. The rookie's advanced defensive ability builds up a nice base of rebounds and hustle stats, while Jackson's already a versatile offensive threat with the ability to score both inside and outside. He should only get better as he continues to get more comfortable at the NBA level, and the 8-26 Cavaliers are unlikely to slow Jackson down.

CENTER

Julius Randle, NO at DAL ($8,500): Randle continues to thrive with Nikola Mirotic sidelined by an ankle injury. With Mirotic already ruled out for this one, Randle is in line to draw his ninth consecutive start. In the previous eight, he's contributed a robust 24.8 PPG and 10.8 RPG.
