It's pretty surprising that Iribarren of all players managed to claw his way back to the major leagues once again. 2016 seemed likely to be another year spent serving as organizational depth, as he began the campaign with his fifth straight assignment to the Triple-A level, but last season turned out to be different. In 410 at-bats with Triple-A Louisville, the veteran batted .327 while walking eight percent of the time and striking out just 14.6 percent of the time. This performance (plus a multitude of injuries at the major league level) led the Reds to bring him up for his first big league action since 2009 with the Brewers, and despite an 0:11 BB:K, he managed to bat .311 with three triples. At 32 years old, Iribarren's best days are behind him, and although last season's performance was a pleasant surprise, it's unrealistic to expect the same production out of him in 2017.
Iribarren played well at Triple-A Nashville in 2009, hitting .312/.363/.411 in 104 games. He'll likely start the season there in 2010 and probably won't be called up to the majors unless there is an injury issue at that level.
Iribarren spent most of 2008 at Triple-A Nashville where he hit .277/.329/.341 in 99 games. The Brewers moved him to center field from second base in the hopes that he can develop into a super utility player, but it's not likely that he'll ever hold a starting job in the majors.
Iribarren had a fine season at Double-A Huntsville in 2007, hitting .319 with 19 stolen bases. The downside is that he had a .384 SLG and was caught stealing 15 times. Iribarren has the chance to be a decent utility infielder in a few years.
Iribarren had a solid 2006 season with High-A Brevard County, hitting .319 with 19 SB. He still hasn't shown any power and that should be a concern for the 22-year-old second baseman. He'll likely start the year at Double-A and projects to being a utility guy and possible spot starter in the majors.
Iribarren hit for average and flashed effective speed for low-A West Virginia in 2005. He's a top prospect for the Brewers, but needs to improve his plate discipline and hit for a little more power.
Iribarren made the biggest jump of all the Milwaukee minor leaguers last season. He started in the Arizona Rookie League where he was named MVP and finished with a strong showing at low Single-A Beloit. His route to the majors is currently blocked at second base by Rickie Weeks, but Iribarren still has much to prove. He'll begin the season at high Single-A and go from there, probably not making an impact in Milwaukee for a few years at best.
