San Francisco Giants
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Webb missed 80 games early in the season after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug. Less than a month after being reinstated, he earned his first career callup, making his debut in mid-August and remaining in the big leagues the rest of the way. His 5.22 ERA through eight starts isn't very impressive, but the underlying numbers suggest Webb should be a capable enough starting pitcher going forward. His 21.3 K% was only slightly below average, while his 8.1 BB% was average and his 48.8 GB% was fairly strong, resulting in a 4.12 FIP and a 3.89 xFIP. Those numbers are in line with Webb's prospect reports, which generally pegged him as a back-end starter with passable control of a decent repertoire but no standout pitches. He'll only be 23 next season and has plenty of time to develop into something more, but expectations should be modest for now. Read Past Outlooks

Could be helped by delay
PSan Francisco Giants
March 26, 2020
Webb may benefit from the delayed start to the season, as he was likely facing an innings limit, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Webb is a candidate for the Giants' fifth rotation spot after making his major-league debut in 2019. He totaled just 103 innings across Triple-A and the big-leagues last season. However, with the possibility of a shortened season looming, Webb may have the opportunity to start for the entire campaign without restriction.

How does Logan Webb compare to other starting pitchers?
This section compares his stats with all starting pitcher seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 120 innings)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity, Barrels/BBE %, Balls Hit 95+ MPH %, and Spin Rate are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 120 IP). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.
