Rain has washed away seven of the last nine days' worth of games in the CPBL, sp these teams will certainly be hoping for drier weather Friday. Those seemingly never-ending cancellations, combined with a three-game losing streak, have meant that the league-leading Monkeys haven't won a game in two full weeks. They'll send Lisalverto Bonilla to the mound in this one as they hope to turn their luck around. The righty's 4.45 ERA through his first six CPBL appearances looks unimpressive on the surface, but it's quite respectable given that league-wide ERA has risen to 6.22 this season. His counterpart for the Lions will be another former major-leaguer, lefty Ryan Feierabend. The knuckleballer's 4.50 ERA is a near match for Bonilla's performance thus far.

Lisalverto Bonilla, Monkeys: Both pitchers have similar track records this season, but Bonilla is the one who doesn't have to face the loaded Monkeys' lineup, which has scored 8.6 runs per game this season, nearly two runs better than the Lions, who sit in second place with 6.7 runs per game. Plus, Bonilla comes in one credit cheaper than Ryan Feierabend.

Lin Li, Monkeys: Rare is the day when Lin doesn't look like the Monkeys' top captain option. The 24-year-old has been dominant this season, hitting an incredible .404 with 27 RBI and 28 runs scored through just 22 games.

Chen Chun-Hsiu, Monkeys: Chen makes a strong case as an alternative option to Lin for one of your two captain spots. Like Lin, he bats right-handed, important with the left-handed Feierabend on the mound for the Lions. He's hitting a solid .333 while slugging .460 this season, though there's room for him to improve given that he hit at least .375 while slugging at least .602 in each of the previous two seasons.

Wu Chieh-Jui, Lions: Wu doesn't have much of a track record, appearing in just three games this season and 125 over the course of his four-year CPBL career. He's moved up to the number two spot in the Lions' order, however, making him an interesting option at just eight credits.
