Baseball has been on hold in Taiwan all week due to rain, but the Lions and Monkeys will be hoping to play Monday for the first time in five days. In a battle between last and first, the last-placed Lions will hand Logan Darnell a tough assignment against a loaded Monkeys lineup in his CPBL debut. His start to his Lions career was delayed first by the mandatory two-week quarantine for foreigners entering Taiwan before being delayed further by a pair of rainouts. The American lefty made seven appearances at the MLB level back in 2014 but has since bounced around in the upper minors and the Mexican League. Opposing him for the hosts will be another veteran lefty, Wang Yi-Cheng. Wang has been quite good in his first four starts this season, winning all four while recording a 3.12 ERA.

Wang Yi-Cheng, Monkeys: The fact that Logan Darnell has pitched at the MLB level probably makes him one of the better pitchers in the CPBL, but a game against the Monkeys isn't the best place to figure out whether or not that's true. Wang is far less risky, as he's facing a weaker lineup and has a track record of success this season.
Wu Chieh-Jui, Lions: Wu has played just two games this season, starting each of the Lions' last two contests. If he starts again in this one, he'll be good value at just eight credits, especially if he bats third again. He owns a career .335 batting average in 124 CPBL games.
Lin Li, Monkeys: As he does in most Monkeys games, Lin looks like a great captain choice in this one. He's been quite hot in his last four games, grabbing 11 hits, 10 RBI and three homers.
Lan Yin-Lun, Monkeys: The Monkeys' number three hitter makes for a nice pair with Lin. He's coming off a four-hit performance in his most recent game.
