General Soreness
July 6, 2021
Powell is expected to return later in the season from soreness, according to coach David Noble. "We'll just take the next two or three weeks to see how things settle down for him and maybe he's back in the team in a month's time."
ANALYSIS
Powell has played in 13 games this season but with North locked on the bottom rung of the ladder, there's little reason to push for his return.
Extends contract with North
MNorth Melbourne Kangaroos
June 15, 2021
Powell signed a two-year contract extension with North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Powell hasn't been consistent in fantasy, but he's still done enough to earn a fresh deal with consistent on-ball stats each week. His best stint for fantasy came earlier in the season against Fremantle and Melbourne in which he rackled up 102 and 104 points, respectively.
Solid in loss
MNorth Melbourne Kangaroos
April 11, 2021
Powell recorded 19 disposals (six kicks, 13 handballs) in addition to making five marks and completing eight tackles during Sunday's 109-68 loss to Adelaide.
ANALYSIS
Powell elevated his game with a early season-high for tackles made in a match. By also matching his season-high for disposals in a match, Powell should earn a little more attention for maintaining consistent production. If he can top 20 disposals at any point, then Powell could be shifted into even more important spots on the pitch and in fantasy.
