RSydney Swans
July 4, 2021
Hickey concentrated 22 disposals, 21 hitouts, six clearances, four marks and two tackles Sunday as Sydney disposed of West Coast 118-26 at GMHBA Stadium.
ANALYSIS
In a match that pitted Hickey against the player he formerly backed up at ruck, Nic Naitanui, the former prevailed, netting more disposals (22-15), contested possession (13-9), clearances (6-2) and metres gained (212-10). The 30 year-old has now produced 82+ fantasy points in all but one game this season and exits Round 16 tied with St. Kilda's Rowan Marshall as the AFL's 12th-most productive player at his position.

Expected to play

Knee
June 1, 2021
Hickey (knee) is expected to play in Round 12 against St Kilda, according to coach John Longmire. "He'll be right, he did some running on the weekend and pulled up pretty well, so we'll see how he goes at training on Thursday, but at this stage we expect he'll be OK."
ANALYSIS
Hickey was held out of Round 11 with a sore PCL but is close to returning for the Saints game. He's been the primary ruck for the Swans all season, though his numbers sit more in the mid-tier for his position.

Knee
May 27, 2021
Hickey will miss Round 11 against Carlton due to a sore knee, according to coach John Longmire. "Tom Hickey is the other injury, it's disappointing he couldn't get up, we were hoping he would be able to for this week but his knee has pulled up a little bit sore so he won't be available either."
ANALYSIS
Hickey has already missed time this season with knee soreness so this is more of a case of recurring theme than long-term absence. The ruck duties should fall to Callum Sinclair while Hickey is out.
Back in action
RSydney Swans
April 30, 2021
Hickey (knee) will return to the lineup for Round 7 versus Geelong.
ANALYSIS
Hickey was initially expected to sit out 6-to-8 weeks due to a PCL issue but he appears to have avoided major damage and will ultimately miss just one match. Despite his inclusion, he's not listed as the starting ruck for the contest, so Hickey may be facing a lower ceiling for fantasy production than usual.

Knee - PCL
April 19, 2021
Hickey (knee) is expected to be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks as a result of the PCL injury he sustained in Saturday's loss to Greater Western Sydney, Martin Pegan of AFL.com.au reports.
ANALYSIS
Sam Reid substituted in for Hickey during the final period of Saturday's match, but Callum Sinclair is the most likely long-term replacement for the ruckman.

Knee - PCL
April 18, 2021
Hickey was substituted out of Saturday's 71-69 loss to GWS after suffering a knee injury, The West Australian reports
ANALYSIS
Sydney's medical staff believes Hickey damaged his posterior cruciate ligament during a third-quarter ruck with Shane Mumford. The 30 year-old briefly returned to the field in the fourth, but was soon after substituted off. No word yet as to how long Hickey may be sidelined. Swans coach John Longmire notes that Callum Sincalir, Hayden McLean or Joel Amartey could be asked to step up in his place should it be for any significant amount of time, however.
