Concussion
May 3, 2021
Grimes has been ruled out for Friday's match versus Geelong due to a concussion, Sarah Black of the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
There was no obvious incident that caused Grimes' concussion, but it will force him to the sidelines for at least the Grand Final rematch versus Geelong as a result. He could be back as soon as Round 9 if his concussion symptoms clear.
Probable for Western game

Ankle
April 27, 2021
Grimes is listed as probable for Friday's Round 7 game against the Western Bulldogs due to an ankle injury, according to Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge. We are hopeful that (Grimes) will be available this week."
ANALYSIS
Grimes doesn't have extraordinarily high value as a defender, but he's still been a consistent starter whose absence would cause the rotation to change. For now, he has good odds of playing until more scans are done on his ankle.

Could be out until finals

Hamstring
August 27, 2020
Grimes suffered a hamstring injury during Thursday's win over West Coast Eagles and it initially appears to be a minor problem, according to coach Damien Hardwick. "We think it's on the minor end of the scale but we'll have it scanned either tomorrow or the day following and we'll give you guys the information."
ANALYSIS
Grimes doesn't make much of an impact on fantasy through his low disposal numbers, but has still played in every game this season. Luckily for his team, the Tigers have been mostly healthy and should be able to hold out until Grimes gets back, if he does end up missing the rest of the regular season.
Better in win
DRichmond Tigers
July 19, 2020
Grimes collected 19 disposals (12 kicks, seven handballs) and made nine marks during Saturday's 77-23 win over North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Grimes stepped up to help strengthen the defense against a 'Roos team that controlled most the the possession. For the most part, Grimes is still maturing as a player and hasn't been the most consistent, as he's failed to top 10 disposals in three-of-seven Rounds. He'll need to show more of what he can do before becoming a reliable option each week.
