Keane was approved by Collingwood to return home to Ireland prior to the end of the home-and-away season, Callum Twomey of the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Keane will not play in Rounds 22 or 23, but he will return in time for the preseason ahead of the 2022 campaign. He hasn't appeared in an AFL match since May, so fantasy managers won't be likely to notice his absence.
