Test to return

Coach's Decision
August 3, 2021
Duryea (managed) is listed as a test to return in Round 21 against Essendon, according to head of medical services Chris Bell. "(Duryea) had some persisting general soreness following our game against Melbourne. He's come in really well today and if he fully trains this week like I expect, he'll return to playing this weekend."
ANALYSIS
Duryea was managed for soreness in Round 20 and has decent odds to return against the Bombers. If he and the other players on track like Adam Treolar (ankle) and Ed Richards (concussion) come back, then the Bulldogs will be close to full strength before the finals begin.

Coach's Decision
July 29, 2021

Set to return
DWestern Bulldogs
August 25, 2020
Duryea (quad) will rejoin the action in a scratch match this weekend.
ANALYSIS
Duryea has been out since mid-June due to a bothersome quad issue, so it's a good sign that he's back in the mix for the Bulldogs following a lengthy absence. He has yet to play on the AFL side in 2020 but did participate in 14 games last year for Western.

June 16, 2020
Medical services manager Chris Bell stated Tuesday that Duryea (groin) will miss the next 3-to-4 weeks.
ANALYSIS
Duryea sustained a quad injury leading up to Round 2, straining the muscle that is responsible for acceleration and kicking. More information on his potential return to the grounds should surface as he works his way back into training.

Groin
June 8, 2020
Duryea (groin) has been ruled out in advance of Sunday's Round 2 match with St. Kilda, AFLRatings.com.au reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Western was confident that Duryea would be fully recovered from the groin injury he battled shortly before AFL went on hiatus earlier in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 29-year-old apparently needs additional time to move past the issue. Western anticipates that Duryea will resume training in full within 1-to-2 weeks, so he could also be in danger of missing the Bulldogs' Round 3 match with GWS on June 19. The defender is entering his second season with Western after producing two goals in 14 games in 2019.
Fit following hiatus
DWestern Bulldogs
June 6, 2020
Duryea (groin) is slated to be available following the league's hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Duryea sat out the opener due to a groin issue that has resolved during the break. While he's unlikely to make his way into the starting 18 for the Bulldogs upon his return, Duryea could find a spot among the subs.
