Out with ankle injury
DRichmond Tigers
Ankle
July 6, 2021
Houli suffered an ankle injury during the Round 16 loss to Gold Coast and could miss a couple of weeks at the least, according to Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge.
ANALYSIS
Houli tends to be one of Richmond's best defenders, but him going down adds further issues to a long list of problems at the moment. His 22.9 disposals and 6.4 marks per game make Houli a useful asset on a good day.
Logs 24 disposals in loss
DRichmond Tigers
July 1, 2021
Houli recorded 24 disposals (20 kicks, four handballs) and made four marks during Thursday's 77-67 loss to Gold Coast in Round 16.
ANALYSIS
Houli actually led his team in disposals during a loss that ends Richmond's realistic hopes of making the finals. Unless his team gets back many of their injured players, Houli is one of the better fantasy targets among the Tigers.
Best Tiger in loss
DRichmond Tigers
June 13, 2021
Houli logged 26 disposals (18 kicks, eight handballs) and made 15 marks during Sunday's 85-81 loss to the West Coast Eagles in Round 13.
ANALYSIS
Houli was the best of his entire team in this game and the first of three different defenders among the top-four fantasy scores in Round 13. He hasn't exactly been consistent enough to warrant regular selection, though if he can routinely log over 20 disposals, Houli would have few problems becoming the Tigers' top fantasy option in a team short of major threats.
Team-high 27 disposals in loss
DRichmond Tigers
May 21, 2021
Houli collected 27 disposals and four marks and tackles each Friday as Richmond fell to Brisbane 102-74 at Gabba.
ANALYSIS
Houli mixed a season-high tying 13 handballs with 14 kicks to finish Richmond's leader in disposals versus Brisbane. He also tallied at least four marks for the fifth time in as many showings, and, in doing so, boosted his average per showing on the year to a team-high six.. The 33 year-old exits Week 10 now sporting a respectable fantasy point per game median of 91.1 for the year, 16th-best among all AFL defenders. Houli also currently trails only Carlton's Adam Saad for bounces per game.
Leads way in win
DRichmond Tigers
April 30, 2021
Houli scored oen goal to go with 31 disposals (21 kicks, 10 handballs) and made 10 marks during Friday's 77-55 win over the Western Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Houli has alternated between average and starring performances in his four appearances this season, and his most recent effort definitely falls into the latter category with double-digit marks and over 30 disposals. With the Tigers still dealing with plenty of injuries, Houli may be given the chance to fill those gaps and become a more reliable fantasy option.
