Mayne announced Monday that he will retire after the 2021 season.
ANALYSIS
Mayne has spent 14 years in the AFL between Fremantle and Collingwood, making one Grand Final apiece with both clubs. FCollingwood Magpies
July 27, 2021
Mayne has been declared available for selection in Round 20 against West Coast after overcoming an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Mayne was a late scratch from the Round 19 loss to Port Adelaide and will look to return against the Eagles. He's been one of his club's top performers this season with averages of 23.5 disposals and 7.7 marks per game.

July 4, 2021
Mayne assembled 26 disposals, eight marks, five tackles and a single clearance Sunday as Collingwood fell to St. Kilda 70-61.
ANALYSIS
Mayne put up a solid effort in Saturday's loss, finishing second in touches and marks for Collingwood behind Jorday de Goey, pacing the team in rebound 50s (6), and finishing with a season-high five tackles. The AFL's No. 11 for marks per game (7.64) has now produced no less than 97 fantasy points in each of his last seven showings and currently ranks fourth in fantasy score per game (94.09) for the Magpies.

Coach's Decision
June 3, 2021
Mayne has been managed for Round 12 against Adelaide and won't be available.
ANALYSIS
Mayne is coming off one of the best games by any Collingwood player with 32 disposals and 11 marks in Round 11, but he may just need some rest after his exertions. His absence opens up plenty of room for others to fill the loss in production from the defensive area of the field.
Makes 32 disposals in loss

May 29, 2021
Mayne recorded 32 disposals (21 kicks, 11 handballs) and made 11 marks during Saturday's 61-51 loss to Geelong in Round 11.
ANALYSIS
Mayne put up over 100 points for the third time in four games thanks to good averages of 22.5 disposals and 7.3 marks made per round. It's important that he maintains this level of possession, as it'll be the only way to preserve Mayne's fantasy value in a season where his club may not win many games.
25 disposals, 13 marks in defeat
FCollingwood Magpies
May 23, 2021
Mayne grabbed 25 disposals, 13 marks and two tackles Sunday as Collingwood fell to Port Adelaide 59-58 at MCG.
ANALYSIS
A new personal-best for kicks (21) found Mayne eclipsing 20 disposals for the third time in as many showings on Sunday and with a combined 94 for the month of May. His 13 marks were also a career-high. The Collingwood midfielder struggled to establish himself as much of a fantasy threat in his first four appearances of 2021, but since then, has averaged 107 points a game - production good enough to leave him chasing Brodie Grundy, Jack Crisp, Steele Sidebottom, Taylor Adams and Scott Pendlebury as one of the Magpies' top five options for roster selection heading into Round 11.
