Oliver started the 2021 season strong and ended it just as well with a composed showing during the biggest game of the year, as tying his season-high for tackles and disposals in a game will do wonders in the Grand Final. With another strong year now over, Oliver will look to continue his dominance in 2022.

Oliver realized 33 disposals, seven clearances, four goal assists, three tackles and a mark and goal each Saturday as Melbourne defeated Brisbane 93-60 in a qualifying final match at Adelaide Oval.
Oliver topped 30 disposals for a second-straight showing, matched Jack Viney with a team-high seven clearances and set a new personal-best for goal assists in Saturday's win over Brisbane. Oliver has now registered 100+ fantasy points in six of the Demons' last seven outings and currently leads all AFL players in total contested possessions (408), clangers (119) and clearances (175).

Oliver scored two goals and one behind to go with 37 disposals (17 kicks, 20 handballs) and made seven tackles during Saturday's 81-77 win over Geelong in Round 23.
Oliver was a key piece all season in Melbourne's first Minor Premiership since 1964 thanks to his consistent domination in possession. If he can play this well in hard-fought wins against other top teams, Oliver's another top tier option heading into the finals.

Oliver netted 35 disposals, 12 clearances, two marks and goal assists each, one goal and a single behind Saturday as Melbourne knocked off Gold Coast 128-30 at Marvel Stadium.
Oliver registered 30+ touches for the fourth time in as many showings, fell one clearance short of matching a season-high and punched through his first major since a June 14 loss to Collingwood on Saturday. The 24 year-old has ignited from a fantasy perspective since the first week of July, topping 100-points in four of his five appearance since then, including back-to-back 126-point outings in Rounds 18 and 19. As a result, the Melbourne midfielder currently finds himself ranked 11 in total AFL fantasy score (2089) and 13th in the league for fantasy score per game (109.95).
Round 20 matchup postponed

Oliver and Melbourne won't play Saturday against Gold Coast after the match was postponed, Mitch Cleary of the AFL's official site reports.
Melbourne's Round 20 matchup was one of three that was postponed due to COVID-19 issues in Queensland. It's not yet clear when the contest will be made up.

Oliver finished Saturday's contest leading Melbourne in total touches, having matched teammate Christian Petracca with a game-high nine clearances and as one of six total players tied for most marks produced in the draw. The 23 year-old is currently averaging 31.3 disposals, 8.3 clangers, eight clearances, 5.6 tackles and 4.6 marks an appearance for the month of July and heads into Round 19 ranked 15th overall for fantasy score per game on the year (109).
