Bags three in win
FSydney Swans
May 30, 2021
Papley scored three goals and logged 15 disposals (13 kicks, two handballs) to go with six marks and five tackles made during Sunday's 100-78 win over Carlton.
ANALYSIS
Papley has scored multiple goals in three straight games but it was ties for his season-high marks and tackling tallies that gave him a new fantasy high score. If he's able to keep up his recent run of consistency, Papley will hold decent value for a forward who tends not to record much possession each game.
Scores game-high four goals
FSydney Swans
April 3, 2021
Papley manufactured a game-high four goals and added 17 disposals, 12 kicks, three mains and a behind, tackle and clearance each Friday as Sydney knocked off Richmond 117-72 at MCG.
ANALYSIS
Papley not only posted season-highs for disposals (12 kicks, five handballs) and marks in Friday's contest, but too more than doubled his total goals scored on the year. The latter was vital in lifting the 24 year-old to a ranking of 16th-best in the AFL in that particular category, but nevertheless finds him a middling fantasy option at forward, where he's currently averaging 71.7 points a showing.
Scores one in loss
FSydney Swans
August 6, 2020
Papley scored one goal and two behinds in addition to collecting seven disposals (six kicks, one handball) and making five tackles during Thursday's 50-41 loss to Collingwood.
ANALYSIS
Papley has scored two behinds in three straight matches and needs to start converting on these chances to raise his value. This also works in favor of those interested in selecting him since his value may not rise as sharply. Papley will continue to focus on scoring goals all season.
Quiet in loss
FSydney Swans
August 1, 2020
Papley scored one goal and two behinds to go with nine disposals and one assist during Saturday's 101-48 loss to Saint Kilda.
ANALYSIS
Papley had a quiet game, but was also dealing with some personal issues that may have influenced his preparation. He'll look to get back to full speed in the next match against Collingwood.
Scores four against Hawks
FSydney Swans
July 25, 2020
Papley scored four goals and two behinds to go with 11 disposals (10 kicks, one handball) during Saturday's 60-53 win over Hawthorn.
ANALYSIS
Papley presents amazing value for how dominant of a scorer he is, since he's scored in every Round this season despite negligible time with the footy in his hands. If he can get into the head of his opponents as much as he did Saturday, Papley will be even harder to stop when he starts playing the better teams in the Premiership.
