Edwards accounted for 13 disposals, a pair of marks and clearances each and a single tackle Sunday as Richmond fell to Geelong 95-57 at MCG.
ANALYSIS
Edwards, according to AFL.com, spent most of the first term of Saturday's contest in the locker room receiving treatment on a lingering left ankle injury, but returned in enough time to put up his best fantasy point total of July (46 points). Fantasy owners will want to track the 32 year-old midfielder's status closely heading into a Round 20 match-up with Fremantle.

Edwards (ankle) is expected to return Sunday against Geelong, the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards suffered an ankle injury in Round 16 and had missed the last two games, but he's probable for the team's Round 19 matchup. The 32-year-old will likely replace Dustin Martin against the Cats.

Edwards suffered an ankle injury in the Round 16 loss to Gold Coast and is listed as questionable for Round 17 against Collingwood, according to Physical Performance manager Peter Burge. "We are going to assess Shane during the week and make the call later in the week as to whether he plays or not."
ANALYSIS
Edwards took a knock to the same ankle he hurt earlier in the season, so he'll need to pass some tests to play against the Magpies. With 19.9 disposals and 10 kicks per game, Edwards doesn't offer the worst value, but fitness would help his cause.

ANALYSIS
Edwards was previously considered probable for Round 12 after being sidelined nearly a month with the ankle injury, but he's set to retake the field this weekend.

June 1, 2021
Edwards (ankle) is considered probable for Round 12 against Essendon, according to Physical Performance Manager Peter Burge. "We are in a position Thursday where (Edwards) might be training with the group, and if that is the case, we think he will be probable for this weekend."
ANALYSIS
Edwards hasn't played since May 7 due to an ankle injury and should be back at some point in the next two games, if what management has said turns out to be true. At his best, Edwards is a useful player for a forward with few goals scored as he averages 21.1 disposals per game.
